Leaves Grow Old Gracefully

by Linda Ellis

Dear Friend,

It’s that time of year when we welcome the change of seasons from summer to fall. The leaves turning a rainbow of colors is a beautiful sign that holidays are on the way. Soon Halloween will be here, then Thanksgiving and Christmas and… before we know it… New Years.

The change of seasons is also a reminder about the seasons of our lives. As we Live Our Dash, we race from season to season, year to year, and holiday to holiday in our lives. The next thing we know, we’re entering the autumn of our lives and become more reflective. Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and other annual celebrations have left tiny tick marks in our dash and we remember those with a range of emotions as varied as those colorful leaves.

Keep those fragile leaves and tick marks in mind as we enter this final season of the year. Make your days vibrant and meaningful. Spread bright and joyful kindness to those around you. Remember “it’s not about the house, the cars, the cash. It’s about how you live and love… and how you spend our dash.”

Live Your Dash,
